Grand Winner Lexus Santos

‘That’s My Tomboy’ is a competition on ABS-CBN’s noontime program SHOWTIME which most of our Kababayans here in the Holy Land are so fond of. Inspired by this contest, some of our fellow OFWs here in Israel came up with the great idea of organizing the same competition amongst tomboys in Israel for fun and recreation.
Initially, they thought of doing it as an online contest through the most popular social network Facebook, but the number of contestants swelled beyond their expectation. This is the reason why they made it as an actual event featuring the contestants’ talents and of course the Q and A portion.
The night’s contest took place at the D’ Underground Tambayan Disco Bar last November 30, 2013 as 15 tomboys competed for the title:
1.) Inya Lorenzo
2.) Borizyo Estrallado
3.) Utoy Ramos
4.) Abel Nuqui
5.) Macky Garcia
6.) Kulets Panganiban
7.) Jaredd Sebastian
8.) Kathy Macalanda
9.) Ian Dimatulac
10.) Ian Fernandez
11.) Lexus Santos
12.) JC Gurerrero
13.) Dhemz Esteban
14.) Zarcouz Louvakia
15.) Em Pascua
The event started with a prayer led by Ms. Myrna Castro, immediately followed by the Philippine National Anthem sung by Punky Dizon. The program began with a very lively opening dance number by the candidates to the upbeat tune of ‘Gentleman’. Braian Gualberto, UFFI Kids, Ritz Cortes and the most sensational X-Factor candidate, the Filipinos’ pride in Israel, Ms. Osang Fostanes, entertained everyone with their amazing voices and dance performances. Ms. Monique Avraham and Ms. Punky Dizon hosted the evening’s affair.
The proclaimed winners are:

Admins/organizers Ashrose Cahiga Simba, Punky Dizon, Monique Avraham, Myrna Castro, Juliet Mendoza, and Bro. Abarquez would like to thank all the candidates mostly coming from the FLOI (Filipino Lesbian Organization in Israel).
The event would not be possible without the financial support of their Major Sponsors – the Mabuhay Filipino Services, I-Remit Israel and MegaWord International – whilst the sponsor of the trophies is Ms. Tess of Khalil Bazar. The organizers are also indebted to their Minor Sponsors: Ace Refufuerzo, Adam Sunio, Gina Cayubit, Juvy Casas, PGBI FFEC, Lily Marasigan, Alona Marquez, Shiela Pinto, Vivian Ramil, Girl Friends from Jerusalem, Analyn Amboleda, Lyn Lee Vaet, Mekaella Macapagal, Rio Penullar, Taray dela Pena and Ms. Anne Pramis.
